Derendigen

We call the production site at our location in Derendingen the micro center. Here we manufacture the smallest precision tools and grind micro drills from diameter Ø 0.03 mm. The latest CNC machines with 6 axes and automatic loading and unloading systems as well as grinding wheel changers are in daily operation. Semi-automatic grinding machines are also used to manufacture special customized tools or modifications at short notice. Our 10 employees and 3 apprentices manufacture precision tools to customer specifications and supply our warehouse with standard tools on a daily basis. Grenchen 

Since 2018, the production facility in Grenchen has joined the Sphinx family, now known under the name of Rieger Precision. The core expertise of their dedicated team of over 20 employees lies in deep hole drilling, reaching depths of up to 550mm in stainless steel, acid-resistant implant steels and titanium. Furthermore, high-precision components are manufactured through both swiss lathe and short turning processes, often incorporating intricate multi thread-profiles. Porrentruy

Of the three locations of Sphinx Werkzeuge AG, the production in Porrentruy is the largest one. A new building is currently making it even larger, which will provide additional capacity. In addition to precision tools for industry, our instruments for medical technology are also manufactured here. Currently, more than 100 machines are in use for this purpose every day and around the clock. Our 45 employees in Porrentruy cut the raw material to the appropriate length, they program and grind, they deburr, clean and control our products. Thanks to their responsiveness and flexibility, even special tools are manufactured and ready for dispatch within a very short time. A big thank you to the Porrentruy team.
